Jake started soccer!

He really likes it a lot. He kicks with his left foot a lot so I am wondering what is going on there. He must be taking after Uncle Richard who used both hands and legs in sports and writing! Could Jake be ambidextrous? I was outside with him yesterday practicing T-ball and he was batting lefty. He may just need some more practice....
His first game was Saturday and it was so cold! Poor little guys! They were frozen little popsicles!! The game lasted a whole 30 minutes!! It was funny to watch them. They were all so cute! They do not keep score since they are the 3-4 year olds, they don't have goalies either. They have 2 defenders who try to block the other team from making a goal. They really do seem to enjoy the game and I sure enjoy watching them play!
Here are some pics of him from soccer!
ENJOY!

Back to work

Well, I just got back to work from Medical leave and in a way I am glad to be back, but in a way, I am sad to be back. The coffee shop here is good so I enjoy the coffee haha. I miss being home with the kids though. I loved watching Jake's face light up when he got off the bus and saw me there waiting for him. Sami seemed to be super attached to me too while I was at home. I miss those kids already and I have only been to work for 4 hours!
I had my birthday last week on the 25th of Feb. Everyone was asking my age and I was a bit lost. I just told them I was born in 1974 and they could do the math. I lost track after 21 hehe.
I signed Jake up for Soccer, practices will start in March and the games start in April. He will start T-ball in May. I bought him a soccer ball, baseball glove, ball, bat and helmet on Monday. He loves it and can't wait to play baseball. He also wants to play basketball something terrible, but of corse they don't have a team for young men like him so he has to wait until he is in school for that. He is excited to play football in the fall as well. He told me last night that he was going to play football this year for the Buckeyes. Try explaining to a 4 year old that he won't be playing for the Buckeyes! It did not go over too well. I told him when he is older and out of high school he could play for them but he did not like that answer at all! :)
I will post pictures of Jake playing his sports when he starts! I promise to post some recent pics of the kids as well. I just need time to settle in.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAMI!!

My baby is now a year old! I can't beleive how fast time flies when you have children! They just grow up way too fast!! We had her birthday party Saturday the 7th at Benny's Pizza. She had a blast and boy did she get a lot of presents!! We were surrounded by great friends and wonderful family and I hope everyone had a great time!!

I want to thank all my family and friends for all the great gifts they brought for Sami! I also want to share some pictures since there were some very special people who could not make it!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Hope everyone is having a great New Year. So far we are all doing well at the Gutter house.
We had a small get-together on New Years Eve with Greg and Brett and we ate, drank, watched movies and played games. It was nice to have them over and a lot of fun. Greg and Brett decided to have a light saber fight and I am not sure who the actual winner was. It was pretty fun to watch though hehe!

Greg made these killer frozen peach drinks that were too yummy!!! We watched the ball drop then went back to playing Trivial Pursuit DVD.

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas!!

I know I am late but it took my husband weeks to finally load the pictures on to our computer.
Santa was very good to the kids. He stopped by Nana and Papa's house on Christmas Eve morning and left lots of presents for Jake and Sami. Jake got a motorcycle and Sami got a cute pink car. Nana and Papa went nuts this year on gifts for the kids as well. We had a great time on Christmas Eve with Nana and Papa.

Christmas morning we awoke to a big mess the porch! It seems that the reindeer left carrot crumbs all over the place! Jake thought they should have cleaned up the mess but thought it was funny as well. Santa ate all the cookies and milk and we know he enjoyed the sweet treats we left him! Santa filled the stocking full and left a train set and a robot for Jake and a cabbage patch kid and learning chair for Sami.

Sami's first Christmas was a blast, she had a great time. She was not sure what to do with the gifts, but she enjoyed playing with the paper and boxes!!

We went to Christmas dinner at Mike and Tammy's house and the whole family was there. We ate a huge dinner and opened presents and visited all day. It was great to see everyone this year since last year I was unable to go since I was due any day with Sami. I love being with family on the holiday's, it just makes it mean so much more.

!!!Happy Hanukkah!!!

Jake and Sami spent the night with Bubi and Zada Friday the 16th of December and Saturday Jeff and I went over to celebrate Hanukkah with the family. Bubi Maui, Aunt Susie and Uncle Marvin came over and Jamie was in town from college so she was able to celebrate with us as well. The kids had a great time and raked in on the Hanukkah presents!! We had a nice dinner and nice visit with every one. We wish everyone else could have been there as well, but they were there in spirit!!
Thank you everyone for the great Hanukkah gifts! We love you all and HAPPY HANUKKAH!!

Jake wanted Christmas to come early!!

So, I get a call from Heather saying she woke up to see Jake opening his Christmas gifts that I put under the tree!! He got most of them opened when she caught him. He sure is sneaky!! Hopefully he will have some suprises on Christmas morning! I hear Santa is bringing him something good so we will see!!

We are getting excited about the holidays and are happy we get to
spend time with family this year! This will be Sami's first Christmas also so that should be fun as well!!

I am off work from December 22 - December 27th. WOO HOO! 5 day weekend sounds good to me!!

Well, if I don't post more before the Holidays, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HANUKKAH TO ALL!!!

Jake's 4th Birthday

Our baby boy is 4 years old! His party was a success and he had a great time and he raked in a lot of presents! He is spoiled rotten, hehe.
Everyone was there, his Grandma and Grandpa Cooksey came early and surprised him with a big horse. Jake wants cowboy boots and a hat as well now haha.

Nana and Papa were there, Bubbi and Zada brought Bubbi Maui too. Uncle Buckeye and Aunt Jessie and cousin Ethan came too, all the way from Wisconsin! It was great to see them and Jake loved playing with Ethan.

Robin, Mike, Jamie and Josh came and Jake played with Josh outside for a while on his new rock climbing wall. Aunt Kay, Aunt Barb, Uncle Greg and Brett came over too.

Jake had a wonderful birthday with all the people he loves and love him. Thanks everyone for everything, and Jake thanks you too!!

Circus Fun

My mother and I took Jake to the circus on December 3rd and boy what a treat that was!! We ended up all being a part of the circus! We got to dance and ride a train around the circus arena. It was a blast, I am not sure who had more fun, the adults or Jake! I felt like a kid again hehe. Jake was amazed the whole time, he laughed, clapped and the clowns kept coming up to him giving him 5 and playing with him. We had front row center ring tickets and the view was awesome!
This ended Jake's 4th Birthday bash week haha. Such a big boy he is now!

Welcome to our first blog

And wish me luck! It is I, Jennifer Gutter attempting to introduce my family to the world and figure out the world of "blogging".

We are a family of 4, Jeff, my husband, Jennifer, myself, Jake our son, and Sami our daughter. We have 2 cats Chloe and Sassy and our little Bichon Frise, Princess Jasmine.

That is about it for now. I have nothing more to say at this time. I am just testing this out to see if I am even doing it right.
